The whole island is almost entirely devoted to coffee, with the full production cycle being completed on the island rather than shipping the coffee cherries back to the mainland. Emmanuel Rwakagara's estate is home to around 35,000 Bourbon trees grown organically beneath native forest shade. The Bourbon variety is known for its sweetness, crisp acidity, and clarity.
