Silva Coffee Roasters began in 2010, when Wayne designed and built a home roaster to explore his curiosity for coffee. His technical know-how and Cleo’s passion for flavour soon led them to invest in a commercial roaster and develop Silva’s distinctive approach to coffee. After sharing their beans at farmers markets and festivals across the Yarra Valley and Victoria, they grew a team of fellow coffee lovers who now supply cafés, restaurants, wineries and homes throughout Australia. Silva remains committed to its local community through fresh coffee, business partnerships, employment and community engagement. Beyond Australia, the team seeks out socially and environmentally responsible suppliers, supports programs for coffee-growing communities, purchases Rainforest Alliance and Fairtrade certified coffees, and pays farmers a fair price where full price transparency is available.
