I love the concept of Altdrop, but I’m on the fence with regards to their implementation. I’ve had some amazing coffees delivered, but have also had some very disappointing ones. In addition, the coffee can be quite aged by the time I receive it. For example, this month I received a coffee on the 9th of April that had been roasted on the 25th of March (15 days earlier).
Only issue is there could be less packaging but that's my fault for going off script and ordering one bag every fortnight!
Love the experience so far being able to taste different types of beans from different roasters. So far my favourite has been the vacation.(: also really enjoy reading the info cards of the beans that comes in the package.

They make the best coffee using my machine. Sometimes I prefer my coffee at home over a cafe.

I’ve been using these beans for about 3 years now. It has a rich flavour and I don’t feel the side effects of caffeine on my body unlike other coffee beans

I never know which coffee to buy, and the Altdrop subscription allows me to try lots of quality options from local roasters to see what I like best - excellent!
So far I have only received the first batch from my subscription, so I can't say anything definitive about the product. But it has been pretty good so far. The espresso roast was a fairly dark blend that is well-suited for espresso and other low-ratio brewing methods such as stovetop and Turkish. I have tried to make filter coffee with it, and it works pretty OK, though it's a tad darker than I would prefer. The filter roast was a washed Rwanda origin that was very well developed with balanced acidity and yellow fruit flavor notes. The roast date of one of the coffees was almost 3 weeks prior to the date I received it, but both were still decently fresh when brewed. It remains to be seen how the future selections would turn out, but I am so far very satisfied with this subscription.
I love my coffee and I love my Altdrop subscription. I enjoy trying new beans each month. It’s always fun to open my box and see which beans I get try in the following weeks. The beans are always freshly roasted and yummy. I also like that I can amend the subscription if I have been away and need to delay the next order, so I don’t end up with a collection of older beans. Great quality great service. Thanks
